One thousand and seven hundred steps up hill can give you a bird's eye view of Mandalay.If you climb in the afternoon,you can watch the sunset beauty over the mighty river Ayeyarwaddy.There are figures of huge snakes,cast with iron,at the top of the hill.The two snakes were found when the construction was carried out by Hermit U Khanti.They were captured alive.Then they were brought to the near by forest and were freed harmlessly.The similar figures of the snakes were placed on the top of the Hill.
